Baby Formula Regulations
Infant Formula Act
All baby formula manufactured in the United States must meet the guidelines set
out in the Infant Formula Act. This act was passed to ensure that all baby
formula used in the United States has the proper ingredients and has been
manufactured in a safe and sanitary manner. These guidelines are strictly
enforced by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Parent’s Choice Baby Formulas meet all nutritional guidelines laid out in the
Infant Formula Act and are manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility in
Georgia, Vermont by PBM Nutritionals.
ISO Certified
PBM Nutritionals is the only US manufacturer of baby formula that is
ISO:9001-2000 certified. This means that along with meeting the guidelines set
by the FDA we have also met the a stringent set of quality assurance regulations
set forth by the International Organization of Standardization.
Addition of Lipids
In recent years makers of baby formulas have begun adding the lipids DHA and ARA
to their formulas. This is because DHA and ARA are found naturally in breast
milk and have been shown to aid in the development of a baby’s eyes, brain, and
nervous system.
Parent’s Choice Baby Formulas with DHA contain 17mg of DHA per 100 Calories,*
the same amount present in Enfamil® LIPIL®, and more than twice that of Similac®
Advance®. If you want to use a DHA enriched formula Parent’s Choice offers
complete nutrition at a price that parents love.
